A loose implant is just like not having one.

How Missing Teeth Affect Your Jaw Shape

Over time, a missing tooth often leads to bone loss around that area and surrounding teeth, which leads to further tooth loss and the deformation of the bone structure.

A loose dental implant also leads to bone loss, which can lead to further oral health complications.

But, most importantly, it loses its functionality as a strong and stable tooth in your mouth, impeding you from enjoying the food you love.

A situation that will only worsen over time.

The LAPIP Treatment can help you restore your implant by regenerating the bone around it.

Do I Need LAPIP?

( If your dental implants have begun failing, you probably do... )

Studies show that a LAPIP Treatment has a greater than 90% success rate in saving failing dental implants.

This condition, called peri-implantitis, affects people who smoke, have poor oral hygiene, have certain medical conditions such as diabetes, have a genetic predisposition to this condition, or overload their dental implants.

Symptoms around the dental implant include:

  • Red, swollen and bleeding gums

  • Bad breath or halitosis

  • Pus and infection

  • Looseness of the implant

  • Pain and discomfort

Regeneration of the bone and gum tissue after the LAPIP Treatment.

It was amazing as always. Fast, professional, excellent service. I highly recommend Dr Ali and his staff.

-Olivier De Wulf.

What Is the LAPIP treatment?

It is a minimally invasive method that uses a gentle laser to clean the bacteria from the infected gum tissue and bone surrounding a dental implant, promoting its regeneration. Over time, the strength and stability of the implant is recovered.

With any form of laser dentistry, recovery time is typically faster and less painful than with traditional surgical methods.

Ready For Dental Implants?

Hear from some of our happy patients!

If you are looking for a qualified surgeon then look no further. Dr. Manny Ashraf and his staff are the most dedicated group of people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I had reconstructive work done on my upper teeth. Dr. Ashraf gave me that beautiful smile I once had. I am smiling and loving life thanks to him. I am so very pleased to have met such a fine group of professionals.

I want to let people who are very nervous about going to the dentist that you will do no wrong by going to Dr. Ashraf. He is the best dentist my husband and I have ever gone to. To further prove that he is great, we travel more than an hour to get the best dental care we can possibly get with relaxed feelings in the chair!

Rosemary M.

This is by far the best dental practice I've ever found. They are completely professional. The receptionists are knowledgeable of how insurance works and explain everything to you. Dr Ashraf helps you to prioritize the work that needs to be done. There is no pressure here. Every procedure is explained and they use state of the art equipment. The hygienists are awesome as well. I highly recommend this practice

Gina K.

Dr. Ashraf is always a pleasure to see, I trust his work as does my family. He is very careful and we have never had any complaints... only bright smiles. My only dismay is that as a New York City Public School Teacher, he does not accept my insurance and so going to see him cost me a lot. If that changed, I would gladly give 5 stars.

Common Questions

What is the LAPIP Treatment?

It is a minimally invasive laser dentistry procedure used to treat loose and failing dental implants. It involves the use of a gentle laser to stimulate the regeneration of healthy gum tissue surrounding an implant, giving it strength and stability in your mouth.

Will it be painful?

There is minimal discomfort during and after the procedure. Laser dentistry causes less trauma to the dental tissues, therefore the healing process is faster.

How long does the treatment take to complete?

The length of the treatment can vary depending on the severity of the problem; but in most cases, it can be completed in one session as teeth are worked on individually.
